Midnight Circus Success

Midnight Circus in the Parks at Welles Park last weekend was a huge success! Five sold-out shows! Thanks to the talented performers who rocked our worlds–who knew the human body could do all that? It was great to see all the happy and amazed faces leaving the big top.

A great big shout out to the Welles Park team for coordinating this tremendous effort. That dedicated group of park staff and volunteers worked tirelessly for months to ensure a great experience for performers, patrons and volunteers alike. Likewise, thanks to the Gross Park volunteers and the Lakeview High School students who worked tirelessly over the weekend.

And a special thanks to our own Horner Park volunteers who solicited ads and worked long shifts over the weekend:  Sophie Putrim, Olivia Putrim, Olivia Weed, Hannah Silver, Robin Mark, Anne Marbella, John Friedmann, Kerry O’Rourke, Pam True, Jean Niederman, Lynn Sheck, Kevin Anderson, Luke Ross, Carol Maher, Katie Gallegos, Holly Gallegos, Hannah Mark, Vanessa Ullman, Jackie Shay, Tony Ranft, Betty Roggenkamp, Johanna Bozic, Ella Marden, Cecily Marden, Erica Beutler, Julie Blackburn, Beth Brown, Grace Gaughan, Jim McDonough, JoEllen Kames, NaNa Sheehan, Rachel Hancock, Chris Soroka, Sarah Graff and Alex Flores. You guys are awesome!

We would also like to thank Grace Gaughan of Koenig Rubloff Realty, Lisa Cleveland, Urban Pooch, Allstate Agent Steve Fejes, Found Chicago, Language Stars, North Center Animal Hospital and McFetridge Sports Center for purchasing ads from the Horner Park Advisory Council for the Midnight Circus program book. We hope that audience members enjoy this special memory book and that you thank these patrons of the arts and parks with your business. And finally, thanks to everyone who attended. We hope that you enjoyed the show.
